About

Farrenkopf's painting career sparked when she first came to live and work in St. John in the 90s. The islands' meditative beauty, found in color, light, and nature, was brought to the canvas. Further fueled by studying with Russian Impressionist Ovanes Berberian, she found painting a meditation.

Beyond oils, Farrenkopf's work involves performance, public installations, placemaking, and community engagement.

She is the founder and director of ArtHouse Collective. This non-profit organization creates open-access programming, regardless of socio-economic background, that creatively advocates, contributes, and explores social activism.

An Art Residency Award in Berlin, Germany, led to further interactive public performances at the American Embassy Plaza in Berlin, the Russian Monument, Red Front Monument, and the Monument to Lives Lost to Fascism. International exhibits include

You Are My Relative at the World Center in Berlin, Germany, and We Are All Related at the Rodchenko Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow, Russia.

We Are All Related, is an interactive public sculpture at the Olympic Complex Convention Center in Beijing, China. Its focus is global human connection.
